TCBY’s Sugarhouse Grand Opening

We are excited to announce that TCBY Is Opening a new store tomorrow in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake.

New TCBY Store, Sugarhouse, Salt Lake City, Utah

I was actually lucky enough to get a sneak peak at this new store today and I have to tell you it is like no other place around. With 10 different flavors of yogurt, and over, well I forgot to count, but a LOT of toppings. It’s a new self serve concept store where you get to make your own treat. Grab a bowl, mix your flavors add as many toppings as you want.

In addition they have an AMAZING drink machine that has 106 different flavors for you to choose from.

I highly recommend anyone in the Salt Lake area to visit this store this weekend. It’s conveniently located at 2274 South 1300 East right across from the Cinemark Sugarhouse Movies 10.

In case you didn’t know the Cinemark Sugarhouse Movies 10 features movies for only $1.50 (actually only 75 cents on Tuesdays) so come catch a movie and then top off a wonderful evening at TCBY.

And if that wasn’t enough to get you in the door, how about a GREAT coupon deal as the starting topping on your Yogurt.

The right time

My wife and I recently made the decision to move our family 2400 miles away. We have always dreamed of living in a warm climate and because we are avid boaters living by the ocean was also a dream. There was every reason to talk ourselves out of making this move now. We had not sold our home here and because we both grew up in Utah we had much angst about moving away from family and friends. After much back and forth, my wife convinced me it was the right thing to do and we had to make a decision because school was starting soon and we would need to get our 11 year old enrolled. It has been about 6 months now and I have never been happier. My family is thriving in the new environment and it is everything we dreamed it could be. We bought a home on the water and will have our boat right in the back yard. We are 58 miles by boat from the Bahamas (about 2 hours). Acording to our realtor, we can anchor off one of the 500 islands and dive, spear fish, catch lobster or take our dingy over to the island and lay on the beach. Since our boat is self contained we can spend the weekend on it with ac and television if we want.

It accured to me that it is never the perfect time to make a decision and you can always come up with a reason for not living out your dream. The real turning point for me came a while back, before we moved. We were visiting the area and spent the day at Jensen Beach. I struck up a conversation with a gentleman while we were both wading in the warm water of the Atlantic. After I mentioned my dream about relocationg to the area, he asked me if I could work from there. I told him I could and he said “do it now, I wish I would have done it at your age, when I could really take advantage of all this place has to offer.”
